Successful naturopathic medicine practices
Completing a naturopathic medicine degree at the CCNM is just the first step to becoming a practicing naturopathic doctor. There are many avenues to achieving success, whether it is by opening an individual practice, joining an established clinic, or perhaps focusing on research. Read on for a few stories about CCNM’s graduate successes.
Dr. Marsden is the Clinic Director & Post-Graduate Residency Program Director at the Marsden Centre of Naturopathic Excellence. For over 10 years, he has been providing residency opportunities for new graduates that include online learning modules, training sessions, patient care, case management and research. Dr. Marsden was inspired to share what he had learned while working in clinics throughout the world, particularly in the fields of environmental medicine and integrative cancer care.
Dr. Jenab's career in academia spans more than 15 years. His interest rests in supporting new graduates as they grow into future leaders of the profession. He is the Director of Naturopathic Medicine & ND Residency Program at the Susan Samueli Institute for Integrative Medicine, University of California-Irvine. The institute is dedicated to providing a holistic, integrative, and multidisciplinary approach to health care.” Arvin says.
Dr. Redvers practised in her hometown of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories before accepting a position as Assistant Professor, Department of Family & Community Medicine - Indians into Medicine at the University of North Dakota. Working closely with local and international Indigenous groups, Dr. Redvers conducts research into the complex public health concerns facing the community. She also teaches and is also helping to design a PhD in Indigenous health – the first such PhD in any North American university.
Dr. DeYonge is in her second year of a clinical residency at CCNM. As part of her responsibilities as a resident, she participates in research projects that support her interest in complex conditions such as fibromyalgia and other autoimmune and infectious diseases. She also assists in the clinical training and supervision of interns at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic and at satellite clinics. In her fourth year of the Doctor of Naturopathy program at CCNM, she served as the president of the Naturopathic Students Association.
